Women’s Wrestling Earns 12 NWCA Scholar All-American Honors

Pioneers recognized for academic excellence; Daley and Larson add All-America honors
MANHEIM, Pa . – The Sacred Heart University women's wrestling team had twelve student-athletes earn a spot on the NCAA Women's Scholar All-American list, as announced by the National Wrestling Coaches Association (NWCA).
A total of 540 student-athletes representing 92 institutions were recognized for their academic success in the classroom while competing throughout the season.
The scholar awards are presented following the conclusion of the NCAA Women's Championships, which took place March 6-7. McKendree captured the inaugural team title with 171 points and four individual champions.
NWCA Executive Director Mike Moyer commended these exceptional athletes for their unwavering dedication and excellence both on and off the mat. Moyer stated, "These student-athletes have demonstrated a strong commitment to excellence both on the mat and in the classroom. We commend their dedication and the example they set for the sport."
Representing the Pioneers were Anastasia Dakoulas (138), Love Daley (160), Cailan Drake (124), Alena Gracia (145), Madeline Hodges (180), Josephine Larson (207), Nohea Moniz (117), Lauren Nguyen (124), Selena Sifuentes Shaffer (145), Tiffany Stoshak (110), Ahsia Torres (110), and Samantha Yap (117).
In addition to being named Scholar All-American, Daley and Larson earned All-America status at the 2026 NCAA NC Women's Wrestling National Championships in Cedar Falls, Iowa. Daley finished the two-day event, placing sixth at 160 pounds, earning her third All-American honor, while Larson claimed her first career All-American honor after finishing eighth at 207 pounds.
