The Pioneers had five individuals post a 2-0 record

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Competing in two non-conference duals before starting EIWA action next weekend, the Sacred Heart men's wrestling team split against Virginia Military Institute and Queens University (N.C.) Sunday afternoon at the Curry Arena.

Notables:

The Pioneers lost the first dual match to VMI by a score of 24-17, but bounced back in their second dual match, defeating the Royals 40-9.
The win against the Royals was SHU's first dual match victory of the season.
SHU had five student-athletes – Jake Ice, Andrew Fallon, Mike McGhee, Scott Jarosz, and Hunter Perez – finish with an undefeated record of 2-0.
Vincent Milazzo, Connor MacDonald, and Brendan Gilchrist also pick up wins for the Pioneers.
