Men's Ice Hockey's Tremblay Named as AHA Rookie of the Week

Forward collects first career award
BOSTON (November 25, 2024) – First-year forward Jeremi Tremblay (Quebec City, Quebec) of the Sacred Heart University men's ice hockey team has been named Atlantic Hockey America Rookie of the Week, for the week ending on Nov. 24, as announced on Monday afternoon by the league office. It is the first weekly award of his collegiate career.
Tremblay was one of three Pioneers to tally two points (1-1-2) over the weekend, as the team took five out of six points from visiting Rochester Institute of Technology at Martire Family Arena. On Friday night, he provided an assist on Hunter Sansbury's second-period game-winner. On Saturday, Tremblay followed up with a third-period goal, which put SHU out front, 2-1, en route to a 3-3 (OT) tie and shootout victory. He recorded four shots on goal and was +1 across the two games.
On the season, Tremblay has played in nine of the team's 14 games and has recorded five points, on two goals and three assists. He has taken nine shots, blocked two and is +5.
SHU (7-5-2, 6-3-1 AHA) is unbeaten in its last six (5-0-1) and will head to Holy Cross for a pair of Thanksgiving weekend Atlantic Hockey contests Nov. 29-30. Opening faceoff is 7 p.m. both nights at Hart Center in Worcester, Mass.
