No. 8 Women's Wrestling Earns Four All-American Honors on Day One of NCWWC Championship

The Pioneers are sixth in the team standings
CEDAR FALLS, Iowa – The No. 8 Sacred Heart University women's wrestling team concluded day one of the 2024 NCWWC Championship in sixth place behind a team score of 41.5 points. After Friday's action, the Pioneers will come home with four All-Americans - Alexandra Fitzgerald (123), Madison Sandquist (155), Cara Broadus (170), and Love Daley (170) - and are all guaranteed to finish in the top eight of their weight class brackets.
Along with Fitzgerald, Sandquist, Broadus, and Daley, Aaliyah Payne-Parris (101), Samantha Yap (101), Ahsia Torres (109), Tati Walker (116), Nohea Moniz (116), Bayley Trang (130), Temi Sanusi (143), Madeline Hodges (191), and Jacklyn Smith (191) all competed in day one of the championship.
The Pioneers are just nine points shy of No. 5 Colorado Mesa University, with 50.5 points. No. 1 North Central (IL) paces the event after day one with 127.5 points, 14.5 points clear of No 2 Iowa in second.
