Biega Assists Coaching Staff at Grand Prix of Spain

SHU Head Coach heads to Spain to assist U20 World Team
FAIRFIELD, Conn. – Sacred Heart University women's wrestling head coach Paulina Biega has been selected to work with the U20 Women's Wrestling World Team as well as members of the Senior National Team members, who will be competing at the Grand Prix of Spain on July 6.
"I feel very honored for being presented with this opportunity," said Biega. "I am looking forward to helping these women compete at their best and to assist them with developing their skills during camp, but I am also very eager to learn from other coaches from all over the world and better my coaching craft by expanding wrestling technique, learning new things from others and building the network on the international level."
Biega joins the coaching staff along with US National Women's Wrestling Developmental Coach Jessica Medina and three other coaches. The Grand Prix of Spain takes place in Madrid. Last year, there was representation from 29 countries competing at the Grand Prix.
Following the Grand Prix, Biega will also be assisting at the International Training Camp from July 8– 12. The training camp will take place in Madrid, Spain.
