FAIRFIELD, Conn. - The Sacred Heart Men's Ice Hockey Team opens an eight-game homestand Friday night when Air Force comes to Martire Family Arena for a pair of conference games. The Pios and Cadets square off Friday at 7 and Saturday at 5 p.m. Tickets are available via Ticketmaster. Both games air live on FloSports while Saturday's tilt can also be seen on SNY.

SHU (10-7-3, 9-5-1 AHA) is unbeaten in its last four games and sits atop the AHA standings with 32 points. The Pios do have four more league contests than second place Bentley, but the guys from Fairfield are 8-2-3 since Nov. 8.

Sacred Heart is coming off a 4-1 win at AIC on Dec. 28 that included goals from four different players. Junior wing Felix Trudeau led the squad with three points and now has a team-high 11 goals and 23 points. Freshman Ajeet Gundarah stopped 27 of 28 shots against the Yellowjackets to notch his eighth victory.

Air Force (9-10-1, 6-4-0 AHA), which has not skated since a home split with Niagara in early December, is in fifth place with 18 points. The Cadets own a 30-21-7 advantage in the overall series with SHU, and the two teams split a weekend set at Colorado Springs last winter.
