FAIRFIELD, Conn.— Fresh off its first Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) road win, the Sacred Heart University men's basketball team wraps its Western New York trip on Saturday, January 25 against Niagara at 2 pm.

- First-year Mekhi Conner recorded his first double-double with 10 points and a career-high 16 assists as the Sacred Heart University men's basketball team defeated Canisius 93-84.
- Conner is the first Pioneer to tally a double-double in assists and points since Cameron Parker did so on January 12, 2019.
- Sacred Heart held a lead and never let up. There were four ties throughout the game.
- The Pios made a season-best 15 three-pointers, shooting 52.5% (31-59) from the field and 50% (15-30) from behind the arc.

- Niagara is 7-12 overall and 2-6 in MAAC play. They have wins over Siena (69-68) and Saint Peter's (70-60). The Purple Eagles are coming off a 67-65 overtime loss to Marist.
- Olumide Adelodun is the only player averaging double figures, 10.6, and he is also the team leader in rebounds, with 5.4.
- Niagara was selected eighth in the MAAC Preseason Coaches' Poll.
