Biography

2024-25:

  • Earned All-MAAC Second Team honors 
  • Named to MAAC Preseason Third Team
  • Named MAAC Player of the Week (11/24), (1/6/25)
  • Led the team in scoring with 14.5 ppg and in rebounding with 6.1 rpg
  • 7th in the MAAC in scoring, 13th in rebounding, 10th in 3PT FG% at 37.7% (42-114)
  • Scored a career-high 30 points against Siena on on 1/16/25 
  • Led SHU in scoring in 20 games and had 3 double-doubles 
2023-24:
  • Made nine appearances with nine starts before missing the rest of the season to injury.
  • Averaged 10.8 ppg and 5.6 rpg
  • Matched his career-high in rebounds with 14 in the season opener against Sarah Lawrence (11/6)
2022-23:
  • Made 31 appearances with four starts 
  • Third on the team in rebounds, averaging 4.6 rpg. 
  • Averaged 6.9 ppg and scored a season-high 16 points at Merrimack on January 5th. 
  • Recorded his first career double-double with 15 points and 13 rebounds in the NEC semifinal against Merrimack on March 4th. 
2021-22:
  • Appeared in 15 games. 
  • Made his first collegiate appearance at La Salle and tallied two points. His first college bucket was assisted by his brother, Tyler. 
  • Had a breakout game at Merrimack (2/19) when he led the team with a career-best 26 points. Thomas posted a near-perfect game as he shot 10-of-11 from the field and 6-of-7 from the line. He also matched his career-high in rebounds with five.  
  • Earned NEC Rookie of the Week for his performance at Merrimack. 
  • Picked up his first block against Bryant (2/10).
  • Swiped his first steal at Columbia (12/13).
Before SHU:
  • Four-year varsity letter winner at Williston Northampton School in Easthampton, Mass. 
  • Named team MVP and earned NEPSAC A Honorable Mention as a senior. 
  • Led his high school team in scoring averaging 18 points and seven rebounds. 
Personal:
  • Played one season with his brother Tyler Thomas for SHU during the 2021-22 season
