Ryleigh Mahoney earns yet another MAAC award
EDISON, N.J. - Ryleigh Mahoney of the Sacred Heart University women's swimming and diving team has been named the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) Diver of the Week for the second time this season following another dominant performance on the boards.
The Salem N.H. native swept both diving events in SHU's dual meet against Iona and Wagner, posting a season-best 3-meter score of 265.70, ranking second all-time in program history. She also captured the 1-meter title with a score of 261.50, finishing just 4.5 points shy of the NCAA Division I Zone qualifying mark.
Mahoney's two victories helped propel the Pioneers to a strong showing in their home meet, and her continued excellence cements her status among the top divers in the MAAC this season.
Sacred Heart returns to action on Sunday, October 26, traveling to Brockton, Mass., to face MAAC opponents Stonehill and Merrimack.
