FAIRFIELD, Conn. – Sacred Heart University head football coach
Mark Nofri announced the addition of 10 new Pioneers on Wednesday as part of the 2026 early signing period.
"We're thrilled to welcome this talented group of student-athletes to the SHU football family," Nofri said. "Our staff has been intentional in targeting our needs on both sides of the ball, and we're proud to bring in young men who not only excel on the field, but also reflect the character and values of our program."
The 2026 class features a balanced mix of offensive and defensive standouts. Offensively, SHU adds three offensive linemen, two wide receivers, and a quarterback. On defense, the Pioneers welcome two free safeties, a linebacker, and a cornerback.
Maryland leads the way with three signees, followed by Pennsylvania with two. The class is rounded out by players from New Jersey, Ohio, North Carolina, Virginia, and Connecticut.
