
Track and Field Wraps Up the Weekend at DeSchriver Invitational

Underclassmen show out in force
EAST STROUDSBURG, PA — A contingent of mostly underclassmen made the journey to East Stroudsburg University to compete at the 25th Annual DeSchriver Invitational.
In the men's pole vault, Holden Crabbs and Benjamin Mandler grabbed top-five finishes. Crabbs cleared 3.31m which was good enough for fifth place while Mandler jumped himself into third with a leap of 4.06m. The women's pole vault was completed soon after with more top-five finishes. Amanda Robinson, Elizabeth Apostolico, and Callie Ahern would all tied for fourth jumping 3.05m. Katelyn Winchester snagged another third place for the Pioneers clearing 3.20m.
On the track, the women's distance team ran well in the mile and 1000m. Katherine Luther (3:26.92), Emma Doran (3:29.04), Morgan Morelli (3:34.29), and Olivia Schwark (3:42.50) placed in the top five of 1000m. While in the mile Mia Breauinger (5:57.82) and Bridget Benn (5:58.06) placed fourth and fifth, respectively. In the throwers circle, Adelyn Furlong grabbed second place in the shot put after a 9.83m throw.

The Pioneers are back in action this Thursday at the Millrose Games at the Armory Track and Field Center in New York, N.Y.
