Both Track and Field Teams Named USTFCCCA All-Academic; Thompson and Piccirell Individually Named to the USTFCCCA All-Academic Team

Women's Track and Field Maintained a 3.7 GPA
Fairfield, Conn. – The Sacred Heart University men's and women's track and field teams were both named USTFCCCA All-Academic Teams, while Sierra Thompson and Lauryn Piccirelli earned USTFCCCA All-Academic individual honors.
To earn All-Academic Team recognition, programs were required to post a cumulative team GPA of 3.0 or higher. The Sacred Heart men's team finished with a cumulative GPA of 3.22, while the women's team recorded an impressive 3.71 GPA, ranking sixth highest in the country.
To qualify for individual All-Academic honors, student-athletes were required to maintain a cumulative GPA of at least 3.25. In addition, athletes needed to finish the season ranked among the top 48 in their respective event within their region. Thompson and Piccirelli each met those standards to earn the recognition.
