Theodoropoulos leads the way

Poughkeepsie, N.Y. – The Sacred Heart University men's track and field team concluded the Vassar College Invite on Saturday night, following multiple podium finishes, headlined by an event win.

Steven Theodoropoulos claimed an event win for the Pioneers in the 3000m, clocking a time of 10:39.99, more than 10 seconds faster than the second-place finisher.

Connor Meikle also found success on the track, finishing second overall in the 200m with a time of 23.01, just half a second behind the event winner.

Thomas Maresca added another podium finish for the Pios in the 5000m, placing third overall with a time of 15:22.12.

Mason Marino rounded out the podium finishes in the discus, finishing third overall after recording a throw of 35.56m.

Up Next:
After a short two-week break, the Pioneers will return to action at the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Outdoor Track and Field Championship. The event is set to begin on Saturday, May 9 at 12:00 PM and will conclude on Sunday, May 10.
