Thursday's first round marks SHU's first MAAC Championship round. The Pioneers were picked third in the league's preseason poll prior to the start of the spring campaign. Sacred Heart is looking to win its fourth straight conference title after winning the last three Northeast Conference (NEC) crowns.

On the season, SHU placed in the top five in five events and was in the top three in two of their last three tournaments. The Pioneers' best result was a second-place showing at the Sacred Heart Spring Break Women's Invite on Mar. 6.

The Pios' lineup will feature Maya Robilio, Nahia Paulerena, Maite Cantu, Jessie Burch and Jensie Nicholas

Robilio, a First Team All-MAAC selection, leads the way for SHU with a 76.9 average over 24 rounds, tallying a win and four top-five finishes. Paulerena and Cantu have had stellar debut seasons, with averages of 79.9 and 80.3. Burch owns a win at the JEL Intercollegiate and a MAAC Golfer of the Week honor this season.
