LAKE BUENA VISTA, Fla. – After two rounds of competition at the 2025 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) Championship, the Sacred Heart University women's golf team sits in third place. The tournament is being held at Disney's Magnolia Golf Course in Lake Buena Vista, Fla.
The Pioneers own a combined score of 601 (+25) after shooting a 297 (+9) today. SHU remained in third place, now trailing Quinnipiac (+12) in first and UAlbany (+20), who climbed two spots to get to second. Siena (+30) dropped to fourth after a rough day, while Merrimack (+43) rounded out the top five. Fairfield (+54), Mount St. Mary's (+55) and Niagara (+71) conclude the participants.
Maite Cantu continued to shine in her first conference championship, as she ranks in a tie for second on the individual leaderboard. The Mexico City native is three-over with a 147 through 36 holes, trailing just Quinnipiac's Sophia Fujita at -2. Cantu has gone 73 (+1) and 74 (+2), holing five birdies along the way.

Nahia Paulerena and
Jessie Burch all sit one stroke apart through two rounds. Robilio and Paulerena are tied for 11th at 151 (+7), with Paulerena's even-par 72 today helping her climb nine spots on the leaderboard. Burch is tied for 13th place at 152 (+8).
Jensie Nicholas rounds out SHU's lineup in a tie for 33rd with a score of 164 (+20).
The third and final round of the MAAC Championship is set to kick off tomorrow morning in sunny Lake Buena Vista.
