How It Happened:
Dean Hangey gave the Pioneers early momentum with a 91-yard kickoff return for a touchdown just 13 seconds into the game. Matt Kling added the extra point to put Sacred Heart on top, 7-0.

Lehigh answered on the ensuing drive, as Luke Yoder broke free for a 28-yard score to even the contest at 7-7. Neither offense could break through as the Pioneers and Mountain Hawks' defenses shut down all scoring chances for the rest of the quarter.

The Mountain Hawks continued to find success on the ground, adding two more rushing touchdowns in the second quarter to build a 21-7 halftime lead.

Sacred Heart cut into the deficit midway through the third quarter when Kling converted a 32-yard field goal, but that would be the Pioneers' final points of the afternoon.

Lehigh sealed the victory early in the fourth quarter with a two-yard touchdown run from Matt Machalik, securing the 28-10 win.
