Kyran Thievon Takes Home MAAC Defensive Player of the Week

Thievon wins her first award of the season
Fairfield, CT - Junior goalkeeper, Kyran Thievon of the Sacred Heart University women's soccer team was named this weeks Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) Defenive Player of the Week on Monday.
In two games, Thievon saw 24 shots, saved all 11 shots that were on goal, and gave up zero goals. Thievon's stellar performance led the Pioneers to a 1-0 win in their conference play opener against Siena this past Saturday.
The Pioneers have two more games this coming week. First an away game against Bryant on Wednesday, then they return home Saturday the 13th as they return to conference play against Manhattan.
