Fairfield, Conn. – Sacred Heart battled back from early goals by Assumption, scoring through Limke and Addie Bowlby and outshooting their opponent, while Petruno made 37 saves, but the team narrowly fell 3–2.

How it Happened:
- Sacred Heart University gave up the first goal of the period to Assumption but finished with a 25–16 shot advantage. Goaltender Petruno anchored the effort with 11 saves on 12 shots, limiting Assumption's opportunities despite Assumption holding a 12–6 edge in faceoffs.
- Sacred Heart University gave up a late first-period goal to Assumption but answered shortly after with a coast-to-coast goal from Limke, assisted by Bennetts. Sacred Heart generated consistent pressure following the response, while Petruno turned aside 14 shots.
- Sacred Heart University tied the game 2–2 when Addie Bowlby scored off a pass from LaRoche, but Assumption responded to regain the lead. Sacred Heart finished with a 19–17 edge in shots. Petruno made 12 saves, while Assumption held a 13–10 advantage in faceoffs.
