Both players earn First Team status for the first time in their careers
BOSTON – After claiming the second seed in the Atlantic Hockey America (AHA), Sacred Heart University men's ice hockey's Felix Trudeau and Mikey Adamson claimed First Team All-AHA spots, as announced on Wednesday afternoon.
The Pioneers' outstanding season is rolling into the AHA Semifinals, as SHU hosts No. 3 Robert Morris. The Pios enter the semis with a program-record tying 21 wins and have won six consecutive games.
Trudeau is having one of the best seasons in program history, as he sits four goals shy of breaking the SHU single-season goals record. The Terrebonne, Quebec, native leads the AHA in goals (24) and points (43), the former sitting in a tie for second place in the country. He also leads the country with 11 power play goals and is second with two hat tricks and third with 0.69 goals per game.
For the second straight season, Trudeau is SHU's Hobey Baker Award nominee. This season, he was named the AHA Forward of the Month in February and December and is a two-time Forward of the Week. Trudeau adds today's honor to his Second Team nod from a season ago.
Adamson caps an outstanding collegiate career with his first First Team nod. The senior defenseman from Quincy, Mass., has played in all 36 games for the Pioneers, as he leads the conference with a career-high 26 points and is second with 30 points. Adamson is tied for the lead in the country in assists by defensemen, as he has the fifth-most assists in a season for a Pioneer.
Adamson was named Second Team All-AHA after an outstanding junior campaign in 2024-25. He also ends his collegiate career with one AHA Defenseman of the Month awards and four Defenseman of the Week honors.
The Pioneers kick off the AHA Semifinals on Friday, March 13, for the first game of the best-of-three series. The Friday contest is slated to start at 7 p.m. while the Saturday and Sunday (in necessary) games will start at 5 p.m. at the Martire Family Arena.
