How It Happened:
Sacred Heart came out strong in the opening set, delivering one of its most efficient offensive performances of the night. The Pioneers hit nearly .400 in the frame, using a balanced attack led by Aleksa Mandic and Zach Flynn to build momentum. Despite a competitive back-and-forth stretch, Sacred Heart maintained control late, using key points at the net and strong serving pressure to secure the 25–22 set win.
The second set followed a similar script, with Sacred Heart once again dictating play. The Pioneers hit .333 in the set and continued to spread the offense effectively, with contributions from Jaron Popp and Aaron Johnson. Harvard stayed within striking distance early, but Sacred Heart created separation midway through the frame and held on down the stretch to take a 2–0 match lead with a 25–20 win.
Harvard responded in the third set, capitalizing on a dip in Sacred Heart's offensive efficiency. The Crimson used a strong attacking performance and forced several Pioneer errors to build a lead that held throughout the set. Despite efforts from Mandic and Flynn, Sacred Heart couldn't regain momentum, falling 25–19 and sending the match to a fourth set.
In the fourth set, Sacred Heart regrouped and delivered its most complete performance to close out the match. The Pioneers hit an impressive .455 and controlled the tempo from the outset. Mandic led the charge offensively, finishing with a team-high 14 kills, while Armaan Dosanjh orchestrated the offense with 50 assists. Sacred Heart maintained its edge late, using key points and disciplined play to seal the 25–21 set victory and secure the 3–1 win.
