How it Happened:
Sacred Heart wasted little time creating opportunities in the opening half. Madison DiEugenio and McGee each put early shots on frame before Kelleher, and Riley Pettigrew continued to test the Saint Peter's defense. Despite generating 12 shots and forcing seven saves in the opening 45 minutes, the Pioneers entered halftime locked in a scoreless battle.

The Pioneers continued to apply pressure coming out of the break, and their persistence finally paid off in the 68th minute. Kelleher fired a shot on goal that was saved, but McGee immediately followed up the opportunity and found the back of the net to give Sacred Heart the 1-0 lead. The goal marked McGee's third of the season, while Kelleher picked up the assist.

Sacred Heart continued to push offensively after grabbing the lead and eventually added some insurance. In the 80th minute, Kelleher found the back of the net for her team-leading sixth goal of the season, extending the Pioneers' advantage to 2-0. Laperle picked up the assist on the goal off a beautiful set piece.

Kelleher was at the center of the Pioneers' attack throughout the night, finishing with a goal and an assist while firing a game-high nine shots, including six on goal. McGee added the game-winning goal and finished with four shots, three of which were on frame.

On the other end of the field, Thievon and the Sacred Heart defense kept the Peacocks off the scoreboard. It felt like everything that towards Thievon was stopped by the defenders. Everything that made it past the defense, Thievon took care of. She played all 90 minuntes, securing her fourth win of the season.

Of Note:
Kelleher's point total on the season is up to 17
McGee scored her third goal of the season, the most she has had in a season in her whole collegiate career
Laperle added her third assist of the season, bringing her point total to five
Thievon earned her 15^th clean sheet of her career
