The Sacred Heart University Department of Athletics shares this philosophy and promotes it in the belief that through the themes of respect, engagement and collaboration form the foundation the department's basic commitment to developing a diverse and inclusive environment that highlights to student-athletes the essential role athletics can play to improve lives, strengthen communities, and effect social change.
In the spirit of sportsmanship:
- Fans, coaches, and athletes shall conduct themselves in a manner that represents their university, the NCAA, Northeast Conference, MAAC, Atlantic Hockey, NEWHA EIWA, IHSA, NIRA Rugby, NCEA and WCWA with honor, respect, and dignity.
- No one shall be subject to hostile or discriminatory language or actions on the basis of age, disability, ethnicity, gender identity, national origin, race, religion, sexual orientation, veteran or military status, sex or gender expression or any other protected category while attending or competing at a Sacred Heart University Athletics events.
- Racist, homophobic, or transphobic language will not be tolerated.
Failure to follow this code of conduct are grounds for ejection from Sacred Heart University. Fans in need of assistance should contact an onsite member of the Sacred Heart University Athletics Facilities staff or call Public Safety at 203-371-7995. Â
