2017-18:

- Tallied first career point with an assist on Oct. 28 against Niagara.
Prior to Sacred Heart: Gilroy played in 82 games for the P.A.L Junior Islanders of the U.S. Premier Hockey League in 2015-2017... Captained the team in 2016-17... Netted 13 goals and recorded 35 assists in his two seasons with the Junior Islanders.
Personal: Son of Peggy and Frank Gilroy… An exercise science major... Father played basketball at St. John's was selected by the Philadelphia 76ers in the 1981 NBA Draft... Seven siblings, brothers Kevin and Matt won the 2009 NCAA Men's Ice Hockey at Boston University... Matt won named the 2009 Hobey Baker Award winner and played in the NHL for four teams (Rangers, Lightning, Senators and Panthers) and currently plays in the Kontinental Hockey League for Spartak Moscow.
