Joseph Verrillo was named a Graduate Assistant in Sacred Heart Athletic Communications in August 2025
Prior to SHU, Verrillo obtained a bachelor's degree in communications at UConn. With the Huskies, Verrillo was a student worker in the Athletic Communications department his junior and senior assisting SIDs with a variety of sports. He assisted with in game stats, in game social media updates, and a wide variety of tasks to ensure game days were as smooth as possible. He also got the opportunity to work for the NCAA during March Madness. Verrillo’s sophomore year, he served as part of the rink staff, where he maintained the ice at Toscano Ice Forum, along with assisting the UConn Men and Women’s hockey teams.
Verrillo is currently working towards a master’s in sports communications and media.
