Sacred Heart University

Audrey Dolan joined SHU as Student-Athlete Support Services Coordinator in January of 2025. She provides academic support to student-athletes, including time management skills, organizational skills, study hall requirements, academic advising, class registration, and progress towards degree. She works with SAAC and other leadership development initiatives as well. Her sport coverage includes field hockey, women's ice hockey, women's soccer, women's swim and dive, men's lacrosse, football, and men's soccer.
 
Background:

• From Westminster, Massachusetts.
• Went to Springfield College and graduated in May 2024 with a B.S. In Sport Management and a minor in Business Management. 
• Played 5 years of field hockey for the Pride
• NEWMAC Academic All-Conference 4x
• NEWMAC All-Sportsmanship Team 2023
• Student-Athlete Leadership Team member 3 years
• 2x Captain
• Springfield College Director of Athletics Leadership Award recipient in 2024.
• Unsung Hero recipient in 2022 and Pride Award recipient in 2023 and 2024 through Springfield Field Hockey Program.
• Bob Accorsi Leadership Humanics Award Recipient in 2024 through Sport Management.
• Maroon Club Award in 2022 for outstanding athletic achievement. 

 
Experience: 

• January-May 2024 completed a 540-hour internship with Jack Pinho in the SASS office at Sacred Heart University Athletics, observing the day-to-day functions at SHU athletics, managing the social media, as well as assisting with SAAC, class registration, and other DEI and student-athlete development related groups.  
• June 2023, selected to attend the NCAA Career in Sport Forum at NCAA Headquarters in Indianapolis, IN.
• Summer 2023, Student-Athlete Development Intern at UMass Amherst, creating career and leadership development workshops for student-athletes in their summer cohorts. 
• 2024 MIAA Leadership Conference Facilitator
• Springfield College Experiences:
• Fall 2024, worked as a graduate assistant in the Undergraduate Admissions Office. 
• January-May 2023, intern for Student-Athlete Development office, assisting with the day-to-day operations of the office, as well as assisting in the creation of the Pride Leadership Academy. 
• Equipment Room Assistant from October 2021 until May 2024 - organizing and distributing uniforms and practice gear for 500+ student-athletes.
• January 2022 and 2023 served as a team liaison and supervisor for the Hoophall Classic Basketball Tournament, hosted by Springfield College.
