Farace returns to Fairfield after a decorated four-year career with the Pioneers
FAIRFIELD, Conn. – Sacred Heart University women's lacrosse head coach Laura Korutz has announced the addition of former Pioneer standout Taylor Farace to the coaching staff as an assistant coach.
"We are thrilled to welcome Taylor back to the Sacred Heart women's lacrosse family," said Korutz. "Taylor's passion for the game, leadership qualities, and deep understanding of our program make her a tremendous addition to our staff."
Farace returns to Fairfield after a decorated four-year career with the Pioneers from 2023-26. A team captain during her collegiate career, she appeared in 67 games and made 34 starts while establishing herself as one of Sacred Heart's most versatile midfielders. Over four seasons, Farace totaled 28 goals and 14 assists for 42 career points while adding 52 ground balls, 32 caused turnovers, and 23 draw controls. She enjoyed her most productive offensive season in 2025, recording career-highs with 11 goals, six assists, and 17 points while posting six multi-point performances.
Farace was also a key contributor during one of the most successful stretches in program history. During her time, the Pioneers captured back-to-back Northeast Conference Regular Season Championships in 2023 and 2024, won the 2023 NEC Championship, and earned a berth in the 2023 NCAA Tournament. Following the program's transition to the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference, Farace helped guide Sacred Heart to a MAAC Tournament appearance in 2025.
Farace began her coaching career with Nor'easter Lacrosse, where she served as a coach and mentor for youth athletes while assisting with player development, recruiting outreach, and program growth. She currently serves as the Shoreline Director and Marketing Manager for the organization, overseeing club operations, coach recruitment, player development initiatives, and community engagement efforts.
In addition to her accomplishments on the field, Farace excelled in the classroom. A Finance and Marketing major in Sacred Heart's Jack Welch College of Business and Technology, she graduated magna cum laude with a 3.76 GPA and earned Dean's List recognition throughout her academic career.
