Women’s Lacrosse Earns IWLCA Academic Honors

Pios recognized for success in the classroom, with 11 student-athletes named to Academic Honor Roll
NORTHBOROUGH, Mass. – The Sacred Heart University women's lacrosse team was named to the 2026 Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) Academic Honor Squad.
Sacred Heart joins 357 schools in all Division I, II, III, and NAIA in receiving this honor. The Pioneers have earned this accolade in nine our of the last 10 seasons and was also one of just 10 schools in Metro Conference to receive this award. To qualify, the team must post a 3.2 or higher team GPA for the academic year.
In addition, 11 Pioneers were named to the Division I Academic Honor Roll, as announced by the organization on Wednesday afternoon. To be eligible for the Division I Academic Honor Roll, student-athletes must be a junior, senior, or graduate student and have earned a cumulative academic GPA of 3.50 or greater.
