Daniel Raath begins his first year as Sacred Heart’s Video Production Graduate Assistant in July 2025.
Raath has been at SHU since 2024, spending a year as a GA in the student life office. In that time, he has gained experience as a broadcast associate with the athletic department. Raath has assisted in live-event broadcasts, working on setup/pre-production, operation and post-production. He has also served in various roles on broadcasts, including graphics, audio, camera operation, production and direction.
In addition to his work with SHU broadcasts, Raath has gained considerable media experience. The South African native has taken on leadership roles for various media projects while pursuing his degree. He has also done freelance videography for Clemson rugby, which included capturing behind-the-scenes footage and recording real-time content during a collegiate rugby tournament.
Raath owns a bachelor’s degree in strategic communication from Arkansas State University and is pursuing a master’s in sports communication & media – broadcasting while at SHU.
