Pioneers Draw with FDU in Regular Season Finale

TEANECK, N.J. – The Sacred Heart University men's soccer team ended its 2010 regular season with a scoreless tie at Fairleigh Dickinson, Saturday night. The Pioneers finished the regular season at a program-best 11-5-2 overall and 6-2-2 in the Northeast Conference, while the Knights are 9-6-2, 5-3-2 and in search of the final NEC playoff spot.
Senior goalkeeper Tyler Locatell (Goshen, N.Y.) earned his second straight shutout as he made a career-high six saves. In goal for FDU, freshman Jacob Lissek stopped all four shots that he faced.
For the game, Sacred Heart outshot Fairleigh Dickinson 18-14. Graduate student Patrick Daka (Chingola, Zambia) tallied four shots for the Pioneers.
Sacred Heart enters the Northeast Conference Tournament for only the third time ever and will be in action at the higher seed next Friday.
