The Sacred Heart Women's Hockey team beat St. Michael's 2-0 in the second game of the ECAC Open Tournament.
Tara Kent (Glenview, IL) scored an unassisted goal 2:39 into the game that proved to be the only goal the Pioneers would need. Nicole Palazzo (Rocky Hill, CT) added another at 9:13 of the first, with Kent assisting.
Alexius Schutt (Elk River, MN)stopped all 38 shots her way, earning the shutout in the final action of the season for the Pioneers.
SHU split the tournament, going 1-1 to finish the season 11-17-1. Palazzo was named to the All-Tournament team, scoring two goals on the weekend to end the season with a team-best 17 goals, 13 assists, and 30 points.
