WEST POINT, N.Y. – The Sacred Heart men's tennis was shutout 5-0 by Army West Point on Saturday, dropping the Pioneers to 4-5 for the year.
Derek Chapman and Karan Narula each won a set only to have their matches go unfinished due to Army clinching the match. Brian Power won as set as well, coming back from a 3-6 loss in the first to force a third set by winning the second 6-4. He fell in the decisive third 6-0.
Mathieu Pilote-Schraenen and Cory Seltman came closest to a victory in doubles play, suffering a 7-5 setback in their second doubles match.
SHU competes in its final match ahead of its Spring Break trip next Saturday, traveling to Dartmouth for a 5 pm start.
