
Women's Hockey downs Lebanon Valley 4-1

SHELTON, Conn. – Sacred Heart scored two first-period goals en route to a 4-1 win over Lebanon Valley in women's ice hockey action on Friday night. The Pioneers improved to 17-8-1, while the Dutchmen slipped to 2-15.
Sacred Heart first got on the board when Olivia Bryant scored at 7:02 of the first assisted by Ketchum. Three and a half minutes later, Megan Finlay netted a goal to make it 2-0 Pioneers.
In the second period SHU would extend there lead at the 3:41 mark through Junior Forward Elizabeth Collins, assisted by Brooke McGreen.
In the third period McGreen would add a second to take the score to 4-0 assisted by Victoria Grammer and Amie Varano. Lebanon Valley would respond with Nikki Lloyd tipping in Eleanor Donaher's slap shot late in the third to put LVC on the board at 4-1.
The two teams finish their series Saturday, Jan. 28 at 3:00 PM
