SHU Goes 4-2 At First NEC Bowling Meet

BEAVER FALLS, Pa. – The Sacred Heart bowling team finished the first weekend of Northeast Conference with a 4-2 record at the meet hosted by Duquesne.
The Pioneers finished the weekend tied with LIU Brooklyn and Saint Francis U, who also had 4-2 records. SHU was the top scoring team on the weekend, taking down 6,959 pins for a 193.3 average. The Pioneers were able to win six games decided by 10 pins or less. Tori Boughton led SHU on the weekend with a 20.70 frame average, bowling in the anchor position Saturday and the leadoff spot Sunday.
Sacred Heart will be back on the lanes in the new year, playing in the Kutztown Golden Bear Invitational Jan. 19-21, 2018.
