Pioneers Fall To Yale in Dual Meet

NEW HAVEN, Conn.— The Sacred Heart women's fencing team fell to Yale 21-6 in a dual meet on Saturday afternoon.
In the saber event, Hasoni Austin picked up the SHU victory in the third round as the Bulldogs earned the 8-1 event win. Bailey Partridge picked up two wins in the foil event with her second and third round wins. Gabriella Petrie also recorded a third-round win as SHU fell 6-3 in the event.
Freshmen Ashley Cherry and Daria Rudakova both earned a bout win in the epee event but the host, Yale took the event 7-2.
The Pioneers will head to Smith College this Saturday, February 10 for the third NFC meet of the season.
