WASHINGTON, D.C. - The Sacred Heart University field hockey team earned its fourth win of the season, as the Pioneers defeated Saint Francis University, 2-1, on the road Monday afternoon. Bridget LaRiccia and Makenna Crawford tallied a goal in the win.

The Pioneers return to action on Saturday, September 8, when the Pioneers host Albany in its first home game at Johnson Field in New Haven, Conn. at 1 p.m.

The Scoring

(15:01): Bridget LaRiccia scored to put Sacred Heart up 1-0. and Kelsy Hopkins as well as Colleen McAninley were credited with assists.
(49:25): Brianna Govia received a pass from Brea Seabrook and scored to tie the contest at 1-1.
(59:43): Makenna Crawford scored the unassisted game-winning goal

Noteworthy

LaRiccia's goal was the sixth of her career and second of the season
LaRiccia's two goals on the season ties her for the team lead with Hopkins
It was the second game in a row where Hopkins recorded an assist.
