LOCK HAVEN, Pa. — Despite outshooting Lock Haven in the first half, the Sacred Heart University field hockey team couldn't capitalize in a 2-0 loss on Sunday.
Lock Haven found the back of the net off a deflected pass to take a 1-0 lead six minutes into the second quarter. LHU tallied the final goal of the game in the third quarter with a high shot over the keeper.
The Bald Eagles and the Pioneers tallied six shots each. Midfielder
Isabelle Chamberlain led SHU with three.
Sacred Heart attempted five corners compared to the home team's three.
SHU remains on the road when they face Yale on October 20 at 7 p.m.
