PHILADELPHIA – Back on the mat for the fourth time this season, the Sacred Heart University men's wrestling team took part in the Keystone Classic, hosted by Penn. The Pioneers had five wrestlers place in their weight class on Sunday.

The best finish came from senior Dante Delbonis at 197 pounds. He lost his first contest, but rebounded to pin teammate Logan Michael in 2:02. A 4-0 victory versus Penn's Josh Laberbera moved him into the third-place match where he was defeated by Nick Marcenelle from Harvard. Michael received a forfeit to place seventh.

A fifth-place performance was turned in at 184 pounds by NCAA qualifier Joe Accousti. He started with a 6-2 win versus Rider's Evan Vazquez followed by a 2-0 triumph over the Quakers' Jake Hendricks. Accousti's run got stopped by Neil Antrasssian from Penn and Barrett Blakely tripped him up in the consolation bracket. He received a medical forfeit to take fifth.

Rounding out the place finishers was 285-pounder Nick Copley. He lost his first match, but started the consolation bracket by beating Penn's Greg Bensley, 9-5. Drexel's Liam Dietrich went down 5-4, but that was Copley's last win as he dropped his last two bouts to take sixth.

At 174 pounds, Alex Marciniak lost his opening bout, but came back to beat George Mason's Jeremy Seymour, 11-5. He lost his next contest and got seventh by a forfeit from Shane Reitsma from Rider.

Sacred Heart is on the road December 3-4 at the Cliff Keen Invitational in Las Vegas.
