Women's Bowling Finish Second Behind FDU 4-1

NORTH BRUNSWICK, NJ — On the road again, the Sacred Heart University women's bowling program hit the lanes at the Garden State Classic hosted by Monmouth with a final score of 4-1 on Friday. The Pioneers narrowly trailed conference rival Fairleigh Dickinson for second place, shy by 29 pins.
Sacred Heart competed in a series of five baker matchups against Bloomfield College, FDU, New Jersey City University, Caldwell, and Monmouth, with a final tally of 4,660.
Sophomore Hannah Mannetta, transferred from Adelphi University this season, made her Pio debut in the win against Bloomfield.

- SHU started seniors Colby Jones and Rachel Bamford, sophomores Nicole Cona and Mannetta, and first-year Paige Donovan.
- Jones and Donovan led the team with 226 for ten frames, with Jones throwing seven of 10 strikes.

- Senior Skyler Mulligan-Brown came on the bench for her first appearance in the lineup since having knee surgery in October.
- Mulligan-Brown and Donovan broke the 200 mark to lead the Pioneers to the win.
