
Swimming and Diving Sits in First After Day One at NEC Championships

NEW BRITAIN, Conn.- Day one of the NEC Championships concluded today as the Sacred Heart University swimming program currently leads through one event which is the 3M dive.
Saturday 3M Diving Prelim Results
- Five divers competed in the 3m Diving Preliminary trials in which first-year Olivia McNicholas stood out placing third which was the best among the SHU divers with a score of 193.80.
- Fellow first-year Natalie Carbone placed fifth in prelims with a score of 187.20 while Megan McLaughlin (10th 175.70), Alexandra Bonanno (11th 172.20), and Sara Anastasi (13th, 151.50) rounded out the diving class for the Pioneers.
Saturday 3M Diving Consolation Results
- Megan McLaughlin took first in the 3M diving consolation final with a score of 220.15.
- Alexandra Bonanno placed third with a score of 181.80 while Sara Anastasi rounded out the three in fourth with a score of 168.85.
Saturday 3M Diving Finals Results
- Olivia McNicholas and Natalie Carbone were the two to advance to the finals as McNicholas placed fourth with a score of 189.60 and Carbone placed in seventh with a score of 168.40.
