Rouquette Earns Medalist Honors at Monmouth Spring Series

NEPTUNE, NJ – Rookie Margot Rouquette continued her strong inaugural season on Monday at the second leg of the Monmouth Spring Series. She tied for medalist honors to help the Pioneers to a fifth-place finish.
Fairleigh Dickinson won the event with a 327. SHU finished just a shot back from Hartford and the host Hawks.
Both Rouqette and Siena's Emily Nash fired identical 77s. Sophomore Kailee Welch tied for eighth with an 83. Christina Massei posted a 91 and Chelsea Thakkar was a shot back. Carding a 94 was Maya Isom and rounding out the scores was Cora Kaproski at 95.
The Pioneers tee it up this weekend at the FDU Invitational, April 2-3.
