Box Score BRIDGEPORT, Conn. — After putting up incredible numbers both on the field and at the plate, the Sacred Heart University baseball team seized the Northeast Conference series sweep over Fairleigh Dickinson on Sunday, with a 7-3 victory. The Pioneers jumped LIU in the league standings to nestle into the third spot.

Of Note:
- In the second inning, Justin Jordan's single up the middle broke the Knights' only lead of the game and drove in Anthony Porrino and Joe Emerson to put the Pioneers up 3-2.
- Elijah Brown put himself in prime position for Austin Markmann's ground ball to second after a throwing error by the pitcher landed him on second and he stole third to lead off the scoring in the bottom of the first.
- The Pioneers capitalized on all three FDU errors committed and held the team to only three runs and nine hits.
- Jake Babuschak opened for five innings only letting up two runs and clenched his second victory.
