SOMERSET, N.J. – First-year forward Grace O'Hara and junior goalkeeper Elyssa Kipperman of the Sacred Heart University women's soccer team swept the Northeast Conference weekly awards on Tuesday. O'Hara earned both Rookie and Player of the Week honors while Kipperman was named Defensive Player of the Week.

The weekly honor is Kipperman's second of her career as she earned both Defensive and Rookie of the Week laurels in 2019. The last time SHU earned a weekly award was during the spring of 2021 when Meadow Mancini was named Player of the Week on March 29.

In her first game against an NEC opponent, O'Hara tallied both goals in a 2-0 victory over Wagner. The goals came within five minutes of each other in the first half. The Pittsford, N.Y. native leads the team is tied for the NEC lead with four goals. O'Hara also ranks 12th nationally as the NEC leader with three game-winning goals.

Sunday marked Kipperman's first career shutout as she made five saves in between the posts against the Seahawks. The Southbury, Conn. native ranks among the top in the NEC in saves per game (5.17) and total saves (31).

Sacred Heart continues its two-game road stretch on Sunday, September 26 when it visits Mount St. Mary's at 1 p.m.
