A three-game non-conference run continues Saturday for the Sacred Heart University football team as it travels to Dartmouth College. The Pioneers bounced back from a week two lost at Bryant by beating Morgan State, 21-7, on September 18. The Big Green, who won their season opener, 28-18 over Valparaiso, have won the last three games against the Pioneers.
OPENING KICKOFF
- Following a bounce-back win on Saturday, the Sacred Heart University football team is on the road this week at Dartmouth.
- The Big Green holds a 4-2 series lead having won the last three games, including 49-0 on October 13, 2018.
- Running back Malik Grant was named NEC Offensive Player of the Week after running for 125 yards and catching three passes for 40 yards.
- The SHU defense has only given up seven points in two home games after beating Morgan State, 21-7.
- Sacred Heart is looking to snap a streak of three-straight non-conference losses on the road. SHU's last non-NEC win away from Campus Field was a 30-10 win at Bucknell on September 7, 2019.
