FAIRFIELD, Conn.— With a tremendous effort that included two goals in the first half, the Sacred Heart University men's soccer team extended its unbeaten streak with a 2-0 shutout over Stonehill on Sunday.

SHU recorded its fourth shutout victory, the most since 2012.
 
Junior Olliver Persson intercepted the ball and kicked it past two Stonehill defenders to tally the first goal of the contest in the 11^th minute. A minute later, first year David Garcia Gallego dribbled the ball up the field and back of the net for his first career goal in the 12^th minute. 
 
The Sacred Heart defense did the rest as it did not allow the Skyhawks to get a shot on goal. Senior goalkeeper Justin Siegel recorded his fifth shutout of the season.
