Sacred Heart Loses in Final Minute
North Andover, Mass. — Sacred Heart field hockey lost 2-1 off a penalty corner in the final minute Sunday afternoon on the road at Merrimack College.
Kelsey Fithen scored her second career goal on the afternoon for the lone Pioneer goal. Samantha Maresca made the start in goal, allowing two goals and making eight saves while moving to 2-11 on the season.
Sacred Heart moves to 2-14 on the season and 1-5 in NEC action. The Pioneers will close out conference play Friday night at 7 p.m. as they welcome Saint Francis for senior night.
