Women’s Hockey Loses to MSU Mankato

MANKATO, Minn. — Women's ice hockey finished up the weekend on the road on Saturday, losing to Minnesota State Mankato 5-1.
MSU scorec first for the second game in a row which now marks four consecutive games in which the Pioneers have allowed the first goal. Cassandra Nevers scored on an assist from Rachel Delong 13:29 into the first period.
Carly Greene was back in the net for the second day in a row for the Pioneers, allowing four goals and stopping 39 of 44 shots sent by the Mavericks. Greene moves to 1-5 on the year between the posts.
Sacred Heart falls to 3-7-1 overall on the year and will face off against Stonehill College at home Friday afternoon at 4 p.m.
