Kohut, Glowniak Named to NTCA All-Rookie Teams

Nancy Kohut and Rachel Glowniak represent as the only NEC recipients
NAGAGDOCHES, Texas – Sacred Heart University women's bowlers Nancy Kohut and Rachel Glowniak earned National Tenpin Coaches Association All-Rookie honors. Kohut earned First Team while Glowniak received Second Team recognition.
For the first time, the NTCA split the All-Rookie Team list into a First and Second Team. The ten honorees for first-year bowlers were voted upon by head coaches. To qualify for the team, bowlers must have competed in a minimum of 50% of their team's frames during the season.
Kohut shined in her NEC Championship debut. The Garnerville, N.Y. native was the top rookie competitor and ranked second in baker frame average (23.47) and third in overall frame average (22.30), which earned her a spot on the All-Tournament team.
The 2022 NEC Rookie of the Year, Glowniak posted a 21.04 frame average and a fill percentage of 88.5% during the regular season. The Dunkirk, N.Y. product also led the team in spares with a 74.7% spare conversion rate prior to the postseason.
