Fallon and Jarosz post victories for SHU

LAS VEGAS, N.V. - Going up against some of the top programs in the country, the Sacred Heart University men's wrestling team competed at the Cliff Keen Las Vegas Invitational on Friday. Two Pioneers – Andrew Fallon and Scott Jarosz – posted victories for SHU at the Las Vegas Convention Center.

Notables:

At 133 pounds, Fallon lost his first match of the day by major decision to No. 6 Domenic Zaccone of Campbell but came back in the consolation bracket to beat Brenden Barnes of Air Force by a 9-4 decision. Fallon then was stopped in the second round of consols, falling by decision to Northern Iowa's Julian Farber.
At 165 pounds, Jarosz dropped an 8-1 decision to Brevin Cassella from Binghamton then advanced in the consolation bracket after defeating Cal Poly's Elijah Blake by a 2-0 decision. His run in the back draw was halted when he was stopped by No. 13 Hunter Gavin from Stanford.
