Women's Bowling Sweeps NEC Weekly Awards

Hannah Manetta and Megan Prettyman honored for first time this season
SOMERSET, N.J.— Senior Hannah Manetta and first-year Megan Prettyman swept the Northeast Conference weekly bowling awards after their performances for Sacred Heart women's bowling this weekend at the Sunshine State Classic.
Manetta was second overall in the individual standings as she knocked down 1,352 total pins and had a 225.33 average.
The Pioneers had four bowlers in the top 10 individually at the Sunshine State Classic.
Prettyman was sixth overall individually as she bowled a 210.83 average while knocking down 1,26 pins.
Sacred Heart finished the weekend with 7-5. On the first day, SHU was 3-2 in the baker format before going undefeated on the second day at 4-0 in traditional. The Pioneers lost the final three games in the bracket on Sunday but were able to secure the fourth-place finish.
Junior Paige Donovan, sophomore, Rachel Glowniak, Manetta, and Prettyman were all named NEC Prime Performers this week.
The Pioneers are back in action next weekend, February 18-19th, in the Northeast Conference Meet #3 in New Haven, Conn.
