
Rugby Places 15 on NIRA All-Academic Team

Tied for the most NIRA All-Academic selections across all three divisions.
FAIRFIELD, Conn.—The Sacred Heart University women's rugby team had 15 student-athletes named to the National Intercollegiate Rugby Association (NIRA) All-Academic team.
To be eligible, a student-athlete must be a starter or important reserve with at least a 3.50 cumulative grade point average (on a 4.0 scale) at their current institution.
The 15 selections for SHU were tied with Quinnipiac for the most All-Academic honorees across all three divisions. In total, 166 student-athletes across all divisions earned NIRA All-Academic recognition.
